Santa Fe, New Mexico is a relatively easy location to reach.  Depending on price, preferred airline, or travel time, you can choose to fly into two airports: Santa Fe Municipal Airport (SAF) or Albuquerque International Sunport (ABQ).

The Santa Fe Municipal Airport (SAF) is serviced by American Airlines and United Airlines only. While closer to Santa Fe, flights may be more expensive.  A taxi or rental car is the best way to get to downtown Santa Fe from SAF.

The Albuquerque International Sunport (ABQ) is serviced by most major airlines (including Southwest).  Santa Fe is only a 40 to 60 minute drive from the Albuquerque airport.  Rental cars are well-priced and usually plentiful.  Shared ride shuttle services are also available from Albuquerque to Santa Fe.

While the mode of transportation is up to you, we'd suggest getting a rental car.  There are some really neat places and attractions outside of Santa Fe you may want to explore.  A rental car will make checking out all New Mexico has to offer a much easier task.
